Action Team volunteering (UK wide)

Opportunity image

We’re the charity making it possible for everyone to walk, wheel and cycle. We want you, people from local communities, to be part of and influence this journey. We will let you know when there is a volunteering task or activity to do near you. You take on what you choose, based on your availability and interests. Each task will be different, and you can do as few or as many as you like.

With support from Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, you will:

  • join our online Action Team community in Assemble
  • hear about volunteering opportunities, tasks and news throughout the year
  • do different tasks and activities in your area or online
  • learn about how we support individuals and community groups to volunteer
  • let us know about your experience of volunteering.

In between any tasks you do, you can have a look at our ‘Path Care on the National Cycle Network’ guide. This has ideas of things that you can do easily on your local paths if you have time. You can tell us what you do through the ‘Activities’ function in Assemble.

Does this sound like you?

You…

  • can easily reach the National Cycle Network by walking, cycling, wheeling or public transport.
  • might enjoy being active outdoors.
  • can do tasks independently.
  • might enjoy doing online activities and share online content.
  • share our values and mission to get more people cycling, walking and wheeling.
  • are enthusiastic about sustainable travel in your area.

Time commitment

You can get involved as little or as much as you like depending on your availability.

Volunteering for everyone with Walk Wheel Cycle Trust

We are committed to representing the diverse communities we work with, and we welcome people from all backgrounds to volunteer with us. We commit to equity and an inclusive culture, so volunteering is for everyone.

We believe that a diverse and inclusive organisation brings with it a diversity of ideas and ways of working, which strengthens everything we do.

Please have a look at the website above and our Volunteering agreement before you join. Then you know what we all expect from each other when volunteering.
